  • Cultural Extravaganza Malda 2023

    Pracheen Kala Kendra, in collaboration with its affiliated centre Basanta Bahar Nritya Anushilan Kendra, Malda, organized a grand cultural extravaganza from 12th to 15th May 2023 at Malda College Auditorium. The event was a vibrant celebration of classical music and dance, showcasing the talent of esteemed artists and young performers.

    The inaugural day on 12th May featured an insightful lecture demonstration by Dr Shobha Koser, where she guided students through the intricacies of Kathak dance, sharing invaluable knowledge and techniques.

    The main event included mesmerizing performances by renowned vocalist Saunak Chattopadhyay and eminent Kathak exponent Dr Samira Koser, leaving the audience captivated. The talented students of Basanta Bahar Nritya Anushilan Kendra also presented a series of beautiful dance performances, showcasing their dedication and artistry.

    On 14th May, another lecture demonstration was conducted by Dr Samira Koser, offering deeper insights into the nuances of Kathak dance, enriching the learning experience for aspiring dancers.

    The three-day cultural fest was a remarkable tribute to India’s classical arts, fostering appreciation and enthusiasm among performers and audiences.

  • Nritya Sangam Festival 2023

    Venue: Gyan Mancha Auditorium, Kolkata

    Pracheen Kala Kendra, in collaboration with its long-time associate and affiliated centre Ghungroo Dance Academy, organized a spectacular cultural evening for the music and dance lovers of Kolkata. Held on 11th May at Gyan Mancha, the event featured breathtaking performances by some of the most eminent artists in the field of Indian classical dance.

    The audience was enthralled by the spellbinding Kathak recital of Dr. Shobha Koser, an esteemed Kathak virtuoso, along with the remarkable performance of Eminent Kathak Maestro Madhumita Roy. The event also showcased the grace and finesse of Eminent Odissi Dance Exponent Shri Gajendra Panda, whose performance left a lasting impression on the spectators.

    Adding to the evening’s charm, the talented students of Ghungroo Dance Academy presented a vibrant group dance, highlighting their dedication and mastery of classical dance forms. The event was a true celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and a testament to the enduring legacy of classical performing arts.

  • Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra Festival 2023

    Pracheen Kala Kendra, in association with Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra, successfully organized the 67th Annual Classical Music Conference at the historic Uttarpara Jaikrishna Public Library Ground. Held from 21st to 23rd January 2023, the event featured a remarkable lineup of renowned artists who captivated the audience with their mesmerizing performances.

    Music connoisseurs were treated to soul-stirring recitals by Pandit Kavilya Kumar, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Pandit Pravin Godkhindi, Kedia Brothers, Smt. Madhumita Roy, Shri Anup Jalota, and many other eminent musicians. The conference, known for its rich tradition of promoting Indian classical music, once again became a grand celebration of artistic excellence, drawing music lovers from far and wide.

  • 51st All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya And Sangeet Sammelan

    The 51st edition of All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya & Sangeet Sammelan took place with great success from 21st to 27th March 2025 at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. Renowned for showcasing the full spectrum of Indian Classical Music, the festival continues to be a highly anticipated cultural celebration, cherished by the artistic community across the country. This year’s event featured a stellar lineup of legendary and exceptionally talented artists, including Pt. Suresh Talwalkar (Tabla), Dr. Harvinder Singh (Vocal), Pt. Debasish Bhattacharya (Sarod), Dr. Tulika Ghosh (Vocal), Pt. Partho Bose (Sitar), Pt. Shounak Abhisheki (Vocal), Vidhushi Vyjayanthi Kashi (Kuchipudi), Pt. Pravin Godkhindi and Shadaj Godkhindi (Flute Duet), Pt. Sanjeev Abhayankar (Vocal), Pt. Rahul Sharma (Santoor), Vidhushi Padmaja Suresh (Bharatnatyam), Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena), and Pt. Yogesh Samsi (Tabla Solo), who left the audiences spellbound with their enthralling performances.

    Upholding the rich traditions of the Kendra, the festival also honoured distinguished personalities for their invaluable contributions to the arts. “Taalyogi” Pt. Suresh Talwalkar was conferred with the prestigious title of “Taal Martand.” Smt. Anjana Rajan, eminent Bharatanatyam exponent and senior journalist, and Sh. Sidharth, a globally renowned artist, painter, scholar, and sculptor, were also felicitated for their remarkable achievements in their respective fields.
