Silver Jubilee(1956-1981) 25 years

The year 1981 was the Silver Jubilee year of the Kendra as the Kendra completed 25 years of its global presence and excellent service for the promotion, preservation and enrichment of classical art and culture. The Kendra has indeed come a long way since its inception in 1956. It was established on sound and scientific lines to serve the cause of the performing and visual arts in a systematic manner. As a part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations the Kendra held a number of cultural programmes.

Golden Jubilee(1956-2006) 50 years

Pracheen Kala Kendra, which was established in the year 1956, completed fifty eventful years in service of art and culture in 2006 and the year (2006) was the Golden Jubilee Year in the history of the Kendra. To mark the occasion, the Kendra had chalked out an ambitious plan by way of holding performances of high caliber in different places of the country during the year 2006-2007. The year-long Golden Jubilee Celebrations were started in 2006 with the organizing of 2nd Koser Award ceremony on March 11, 2006 and concluded with the 37th All-India Bhaskar Rao Nritya and Sangeet Sammelan on March 25, 2007. During the year-long celebrations as many as 37 events were organized featuring performances by talented, upcoming and leading artists of repute. There were 12 Baithak Programmes and 25 Special programmes.

200th Monthly Baithak(2014)

Kendra achieved a unique feat when it organized 200th monthly baithak in the month of June 2014 which is being held continously from the last about 23 years without a break which a record in itself.

Golden jubilee celebration of the 50th 'All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya & Sangeet Sammelan'(2019)

Another feather in the cap of the Kendra was golden jubilee celebration of the 50th edition of 'All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya and Sangeet Sammelan' which was organized at Tagore Theater . In this edition eminent artists of repute like Pt Vishwamohan Bhatt , Salil Bhatt (Mohanveena & Satvik Veena Duet), Paarth Koser on Drums , Pt. Tarun Bhattacharyya (Santoor) , Sh. Ramdas Palsule (Tabla), Vid. Sujata Mohapatra ( Odissi Dance) Vid. Mahalakshmi Shenoy (Voca), Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia (Flute) Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra (Tabla), Mallick Brothers (Dhrupad) , Rishi Shankar Upadhyay (Pakhawaj), Pt. Harvinder Sharma (Sitar), Ustad Akram Khan(Tabla), Barman Bandhus Tabla Shreekhol Jugalbandi , Sh. Hiranmoy Mitra on Harmonium, Pt. Aloke Lahiri , Sh. Abhishek Lahiri (Sarod duet ), Sh. Ambrish Das (Vocal) , Dr. Samira Koser (kathak), Vid. Purnima Bhatt (Vocal) , Guru Kamlini Dutt Rangontaratma Purvadhanashree  - Bharatanatyam, Dr. Sridhar Vasudevan Bharatanatyam, Divya Goswami - Kathak, Hemant Kalita – Kathak performed . On this occasion, as per the old tradition of the Kendra many well-known personalities associated with the art world were also honored.
